I won't bore you with the details of my very large family and it's interlocking branches. I simply want to convey the fun stories I run across.

While searching for the more information on where my great grandfather, J.B.'s family was living in 1920 after his father passed away I decided that it would be a good idea to check with his aunts and uncles, even the greats. So off I tore through census after census when moments later I found his aunt living next to my great grandmother, Velma's family. Hmmm...well that's interesting.

I was curious if JB and Velma knew each other their whole lives. I called the man with the stories-my Uncle Larry. "The way I always heard it, Pa B and Uncle Bernice were best friends and they would run around in the woods, going swimming and such and one day Velma and her sister, Jimmie, caught them skinny dipping in the pond."

I decided to start this blog to fill you in the with information I find researching about my family, the history, the stories, the legends, and the things that they endured...to honor them, the learn from them and to carry the history forward. I have learned thru my research: the extent of what I do not know is vast, what we glean from our parents and grandparents in the duration of our brief time together is far from complete and statistically speaking, those of us currently reading these words shouldn't be alive-which gives credit to the belief that we all have a purpose.

I hope that you can offer input and suggestions to continue the search, picking up the pieces and filling the voids.
